Aroma: Frische Zitrusnoten, Rauch und geröstetes Malz. Dazu Lakritz, Vanille und gebrannter Zucker.
Geschmack: Intensiv und frisch auf der Zunge. Heidekraut und Noten von gegrillten Zitronen. Dazu wieder Rauch, brauner Zucker und Vanille. Dann Gewürze wie Pfeffer und Zimt.
Abgang: Mittellang und rauchig süß mit kandierten Äpfeln, Süßholz und etwas Salz.
Farbe: Pastellgold (C4).
Der Elements of Islay Peat Pure Islay wird vom unabhängigen Abfüller Elixir Distillers aus London abgefüllt. Die Grundlage des Peat Pure Islay bilden Single Malts von der Insel Islay in Schottland. Welche Single Malts für die rauchige Abfüllung zum Einsatz kamen ist leider ein Geheimnis. Aber es ist gewiss, dass sich die typischen Islay Aromen und Geschmacksnoten in diesem Blend wiederfinden lassen. Viel Rauch, maritime Salzigkeit und frische Fruchtnoten bilden den Grundcharakter dieses Blended Malts. Der Elements of Islay Peat Pure Islay wird ungefärbt und nicht kühlgefiltert mit 45.0% vol. abgefüllt.
